42 Draft Design: Mk5 FSI/TSI 2.5″ & 3″ Turbo-Backs

The 42 Draft Design’s FSI/TSI turbo-back exhaust systems provide instant results: significant horsepower and torque gains, high performance sound, and worry-free fitment.
More than just a pile of pipes, These turbo-back systems are precision fabricated from CNC machined flanges, CNC mandrel bent piping, Magnaflow mufflers, and mirror polished tips. The result of this is a heavy duty exhaust system that fits like it should and outperforms the competition.
The 42 Draft Design’s new turbo-backs are simply a combination of the 3″ downpipes and 2.5″ & 3″ cat-backs. Other than a slight price adjustment for a turbo-back barcode, these systems combine two extensively developed products that can be installed separately or together and changed at any time. 42 Draft Design over-use the word modular, but it honestly describes their design philosophy. Every component in these systems has been rigorously tested, exists individually, and can be serviced, replaced, or upgraded at any time during the life of the system.
Installation is simple, adjustable, and reliable. Precise design and fabrication routes piping clear of heatshields. Adjustable flanges allow further adjustment if necessary, sealed by double layer graphite gaskets and locking hardware.
Power gains cannot be definitively stated for this system. Every single installation is different. Power gains related to this system depend entirely on what’s in front of it. FSI/TSI engines with complimenting mods and a 3″ downpipe will see typical 3″ turbo-back gains. An FSI with a GT30 turbo and a 3″ downpipe is going to see maximum power at whatever boost level their motor can support.
Pricing starts at $860 and varies with available options. GTI systems are ready to ship! Jetta systems are in development awaiting a batch of CNC mandrel bends.
