More ABT POWER for the new VW Tiguan

The new VW Tiguan is an excellent car: if you want a versatile automobile of perfect workmanship, this SUV is your choice, particularly if it has been upgraded by ABT Sportsline. For what the leading enhancer of Volkswagens and Audis has come up with is a customised solution that provides more power and torque for all basic and special jobs this versatile and discreet car may be asked to do. And sportiness is brought much to the fore here as well, of course.

Particularly the two 2.0 turbo diesels are very suitable for carrying bag and baggage at low costs and make the driver happy into the bargain. In its most powerful version, ABT POWER lends it 215 hp (158 kW), up from 190 hp (140 kW), with torque now at 440 Nm, up from 400. The not quite so powerful version features 180 hp (132 kW), up from 150 hp (110 kW), with torque now rated 380 Nm (production car: 340 Nm). And drivers of petrol-powered cars can now also be more dynamic: 216 hp or 159 kW (production car: 180 hp or 132 kW) for the 2.0 TSI are, after all, quite something. Torque here is raised from 320 Nm to 360 Nm, which will make the Tiguan rise to almost any challenge.

If you now also want to show off your upgrade, choose lowering springs that will make for a lowering of approximately 30 mm and go for an ABT Sportsline designer wheel too. Available here are the FR, DR and the cast ER-C, available in 18, 19, 20 or 21““, depending upon the design. Whether you choose a strong or filigree FR or DR double spoke design or the dynamically curved ER-C’s doesn’t matter: the wheels will always be in line with the Tiguan’s character. This also applies to the “classic“ ABT CR, only available in 20’’. It goes without saying that all wheels can also be bought with the right Continental or Dunlop premium tires. Just perfect for an “ABTed” VW Tiguan.
