CarbonSpeed has released details of its stunning intake system for all models of the Volkswagen Golf Mk5 GTI 2.0T TFSi, including the Edition 30 variant.

Created from genuine carbon fibre (rather than a skinned fibreglass construction) the quality of this kit is second to none and will offer performance improvements over the standard airbox by dissipating heat more quickly and effectively than any plastic intake design.
The CarbonSpeed intake not only looks amazing in the Golf’s engine bay, but also works superbly, thanks to the multi-layer form Pipercross panel filter, which comes as part of the kit. This filter offers greater protection for the Golf’s engine, filtering down to a much finer rate than the OEM paper equivalent. Being oil free, the engine is further protected from the sensitive MAF sensor being damaged, as can often happen when using other aftermarket oiled filters.
