The ABT Eos and ABT TT-Roadster show just what the renowned vehicle tuner from Allgäu understands by a real open-top sports car: The company from Kempten developed components for both the Volkswagen Cabrio as well as the open-top version of the successful VW model, which emphasise the character of the respective cars and make them come across more striking from any angle.

The lowered front spoiler, the side skirts as well as the rear apron insert with the typical 4-pipe rear muffler underline the sporty ambitions of the cool ABT Eos and give it a confident appearance. And even more so with the BR alloys, which when standing even signalise a need for speed. The fact that this wheel also perfectly fits the TT-Roadster is understandable, as this breathtaking vehicle looks dynamic even without the body kit from ABT.

The company from Kempten converts the open-top TT into a real athlete which when motionless looks like a 100 metre sprinter waiting for the gun: the spoiler, the side components, the rear apron unit and the rear wing form one all-round successful unit. With it the sports car cuts an exceedingly good figure, not just on highways and motorways but also on the boulevard.

Regardless of whether it’s open or closed, a real ABT does not just look fast, it is fast too. The diverse ABT POWER packages provide this on the Eos and TT-Roadster, which really satisfy any performance hunger: On the 2.0 TFSI the standard series 200HP (147kW) is raised to 240HP (177kW) with ABT POWER. With ABT POWER S there is even 270HP (199kW) or a remarkable 300HP (221kW) available.

ABT offers the sportiest version for the six-cylinder with 3.2 cubic capacity: here ABT POWER R stands for the optimisation of engine management and compressor refitting with a liquid charge-air intercooler. In figures this means a proud performance boost of 120HP (88kW). A substantial 370 horsepower (272kW) is available with ABT POWER R. The 2.0 litre diesel engine in the Eos is also sportier: the standard series 140HP (103kw) is increased to a powerful 170 diesel horsepower (125kW).

ABT Sportsline has of course also got suspension components and brakes in its product range which are perfectly suited to the fast Cabrios. With them the ABT Eos and ABT TT-Roadster can cope with any situation and offer pure driving enjoyment. It is precisely these positive characteristics that the new ABT AS5 Cabrio will also have – and thereby continue the success story of open-top sports cars from the Allgäu... More on that soon.

The VW / Audi specialist B&B from Siegen Germany integrated the VW Eos in their established turbo program. The result is a breathtaking sports cabriolet which reaches in four different power levels (360, 400, 450 and 500 hp) performance values which are normally reserved for top-class sport cars.

The highest increment is achieved by the installation of a new developed intercooled turbocharger, a changed cylinder head with a trimmed compression, special suction and airflow pipes, high powered injection elements and a more precise fuel pump. In order to take the engine stable and suitable for daily use, the ledges, gaskets and several expendable parts are transposed by enhanced parts. By using a special slim line oilcooler the oil temperature will be set on a more stable level. To drain off emissions faster and dull sounding a racing exhaust system will be mounted when finally the optimized engine electronics take place to the tuned parts.

The performance values of the 500 hp / 650 Nm version: 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 13.5 seconds, Vmax 308 km/h (depending on translation)

To fulfill the risen requirements a special six or eight bulb high end braking system as well as a threaded chassis, adjustable in height and traction, has to be mounted. This conveys a comfort feeling of security and a confident driving behaviour to the VW Eos driver in every time.

Exclusive tires in 18" and 19" as well as a Eos exclusive aerodynamic program in original manufacturer quality finishes the appearance of the unique sport cabriolet.

At the moment, the Kempten designers indeed are working on the perfect body parts for the convertible AS3 at full speed, but already now it becomes apparent that the compact vehicle will become a feast for the eyes.

The performance data of the engine versions stand for open-air driving pleasure: with ABT Power the 2.0 TFSI offers sporty 240hp (177kW) instead of 200hp (147kW); with ABT Power S 270hp (199kW) are provided. With ABT Power the serial 160hp (118kW) of the 1.8 TFSI can be increased to 200hp (147kW), or to 240hp (177kW) with ABT Power S.

What the famous car tuner from the Allgäu understands of a real sun-worshipping convertible already show the ABT Eos and the ABT TT Roadster: for the Volkswagen convertible as well as for the open version of the successful model from Ingolstadt, the ABT team developed body styling parts which accentuate the character of each vehicle and which let them appear even more distinctive from every perspective: the low front spoiler, the side skirts and the rear skirt inset with the typical 4-pipe rear muffler emphasize the sporty ambitions of the fancy ABT Eos and give it a self-confident appearance.

Even more so with the BR wheel which seems to have the urge to move forward, even when standing still. It goes without saying that this wheel also fits the TT Roadster like a glove because this n turns the open-roof TT into a real athlete which looks like a 100-meter sprinter ready to start: the front skirt, the lateral body parts, the rear skirt inset and the rear wing are forming a successful unit, in every respect. With this modifications, the sports car does not only cut a good figure on country roads and motor-ways but also on the boulevard.

Either closed or opened, a real ABT does not only look fast, it is in fact fast. This ensure the diverse ABT POWER packages for the Eos and the TT Roadster which actually satisfy performance hunger: with ABT POWER, the 2.0 TFSI engine is increased from serial 200hp (147kW) to 240hp (177kW). With ABT POWER S even 270hp (199kW) or remarkable 300hp (221kW) are provided. The sportiest version ABT offers is for the 6-cylinder engine with 3.2 liter cubic capacity: ABT POWER R stands for optimization of the motor management and for compressor conversion with water cooled intercooler. In figures this means a proud power increase of 120hp (88kW). 370 authentic horsepower (272kW) are offered with ABT POWER R. Also the 2.0 liter diesel engine in the Eos becomes sportier: the serial 140hp (103kW) can be increased to powerful 170hp (125kW). ABT Sportsline, of course, also offers perfectly adjusted suspension components and brakes for the fast convertibles. This enables the ABT Eos and the ABT TT Roadster to cope with every situation and to offer pure driving pleasure. These positive characteristics are exactly what also the new ABT AS3 Cabrio will offer - and hence will continue the success story of the open sports cars from the Allgäu...

What happens when Nemesis, the goddess of retribution, encounters Eos, the goddess of dawn? Both of these exquisite ladies make Carlos Correia happy. With the Sunshine Eos, he has brought his next highlight to the start, after the furious Las Vergas Touran. Although the emphasis was again on the field of multimedia this time, only the best was good enough for him, with all of the components.

Such as the exclusive Nemesis forged wheel, by AEZ, which adorns the wheel cases in the dimensions, 8.5 and 9.5 x 19 inches (ET 30 / ET 35). With the beguilingly anodised surface, the powerfully forked spokes toward the end, between which the massive 342 millimetre brake disks peep through, and the attractive multi-part design, these also form the well for massive tyres. With their respectable size of 235/35 front and 265/30 rear, they even succeed in transferring the very immense torque of the performance-enhanced 2.0 TDIs onto the asphalt. 520 Nm and 245 PS paw the ground.

With so much power, the chassis itself copes effortlessly. In order to retain suitability for everyday use, Carlos Correia relies on a Pro Street S Threaded Suspension by Eibach, which was adapted from the Golf V. In order to satisfy the higher weight, Eibach Pro Kit Suspensions from the Passat 3C model are used.

Of course, Carlos Correia particularly put his heart into the sophisticated multimedia fittings. As already with the Las Vegas Touran, he relies on high-quality components by Alpine Electronics, such as the head unit, loudspeaker and monitors. The Sunshine Eos is truly a car for the gods – and rolls on fitting wheels by AEZ. Such an extraordinary car can also win a prize: From 31st August until 2nd September, the vehicle will be taking part in the renowned Pirelli Tuning Award, as one of 50 finalists.

Right from the start the VW Eos emerged as a really successful model. In Germany this car, which is equipped with a a 5-section folding metal roof, instantly became the most sold car in the convertible segment. KW now offers coilover suspension Variant 1 for the VW Eos. The entry to KW's suspension world is enabled through a set of sport springs.

A KW sport suspension and the coilover suspension Variants 2 and 3 will be available in the end of August. The KW sport springs and the sport suspension lower the car by 30 mm. The adjustable KW coilover suspensions allow a lowering between 35 und 65 mm.

Coilover suspension Variant 1 permits customised lowering of the suspension and creates an optimised balance of sportiness, comfort and safety. Variant 2 is the ideal system for sporty drivers, who also wish to make modifications in the set-up to achieve a more customised lowering of the suspension. Thanks to the adjustable rebound damping, it is possible to adapt the driving comfort to suit the driver's personal taste.

With its separately adjustable pressure and rebound damping functions, Variant 3 permits an even higher degree of customisation to the suspension and provides the perfect solution for those truly technically demanding drivers. All KW coilover suspensions are produced in the unique stainless steel "inox line" technology. This assures the extremely high quality and durability of the suspensions plus a long-lasting perfect finish to match.

The suspension program of the future, KW Suspensions, provides improved driving dynamics. KW engineers have utilized their years of motor sport experience develop these sport dampers, tuning the system in a long series of tests with the matched lowering springs to create a perfect and complete system. The result: twin-tube low-pressure gas dampers with fixed set-up which, thanks to high-quality components and modern manufacturing processes, will perform flawlessly for the life of the vehicle.

The KW lowering springs greatly enhance a car's appearance. These superior sport springs are made of chrome silicon steel manufactured in a cold-wound process and top outfitting quality. A special heat treatment procedure and additional processes ensure maximum strength and durability.

After JE DESIGN offered a discrete modification together with increased performance a few weeks ago just in time for the presentation of the new VW "Eos" convertible sports coupé, the Leingarten-based tuner is already upping the ante. The "Eos" is mutating from a "conventional" vehicle to a sensational car thanks to a complete JE DESIGN aerodynamics kit!

Aerodynamic parts all around

JE DESIGN corrects the somewhat oversized "eyes" on the Polo with headlight screens. With a narrowed vision, the JE DESIGN "Eos" goes looking for its rivals. But they would be anything but impressed with the conventional and standard front. So JE DESIGN gave it a front spoiler, which picks up on the original design and gives the front end a more impressive appearance. The two-piece spoiler blade with a carbon look, attached to the JE front spoiler, gives off the scent of the racetrack. The pair of side sills with air inlets provides an optical lower suspension of the body. Because most people will only get a view of the rear of the car, JE DESIGN makes sure that the people being passed will at least have something nice to look at. A rear wing that diminishes the lift crowns the trunk lid. In addition, there is also a rear apron attachment in a carbon look with a diffuser that is suitable for use with the 4-pipe muffler offered by JE DESIGN. As an option, there is also the rear apron attachment without the carbon look.

Added power

Because you can never have enough power, JE DESIGN gives the 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TFSI engine models a little extra horsepower. As a result, the diesel engine delivers approx. 130 kW/176 hp (standard: 103 kW/140 hp) at 4000 RPM. You can pass other cars quickly thanks to the 405 Nm. The added power also affects the top speed: 212 km/h compared to 206 km/h for the standard model. Naturally, that also improves acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h. A time of 10.3 seconds is reduced to 9.2 seconds. The TFSI also takes on wings. The turbo gasoline-engine car delivers approx. 180 kW/244 hp at 5100 RPM (standard: 147 kW/200 hp) once the engine timing has been modified. 280 Nm is increased to 355, and a speed of 232 km/h is increased to 239. Acceleration from 0 to 100 is achieved in 7 seconds, an improvement of 8/10. Of course, the engines still satisfy the AU regulations. And as is expected of a serious tuner, JE DESIGN delivers the increased performance with TÜV technical component reports.

The lower suspension set, which lowers the "Eos" by about 30 mm, promises better road handling. Alternatively, JE DESIGN also offers coilover suspensions (adjustment range of 35-65 mm).

The 19-inch "Multispoke" rims in 8x19ET 45 with 235/35 R 19 tires round out the overall picture perfectly. JE DESIGN offers more elegant rim sets in shadow-silver or in SLC chrome. "Multispoke" rims in 7.5x18 ET 45 with 235/40 R 18 tires or 7.0 x 17 ET 45 with 235/45 R 17 Y tires are optionally available.

On request, JE DESIGN can install a 330x28mm 4-piston sports brake system on the front axel for improved deceleration, thereby making a valuable contribution to driving safety.

Because the sound of the standard "Eos" is nothing to sing about, why not consider having the JE DESIGN muffler system added to the order sheet? JE DESIGN offers the system, which is made of corrosion-resistant high-grade steel and equipped with two 90-mm tail pipes.
