Many aftermarket intakes use open air filters which suck in heat from the engine bay. This will kill any power gains potentially provided by a free flowing air filter. A.W.E. Tuning uses a beautifully designed carbon fiber box to ensure only fresh, cool air enters the engine.

Dyno testing showed increases of 8 horsepower at the crank, with healthy usable gains in the midrange. Extensive power testing also showed that no sustainable gains were possible unless piping after the mass air sensor was uncorked, so the C|C|B includes 2.75 inch diameter stainless steel piping after the airbox. Further, all dyno power testing was done with the vehicle's hood closed to guarantee real world results.
