Forge Motorsport VW Golf/Jetta/Bora MK5 Dump Valve
This latest, beautifully engineered valve is Forge’s newest creation for almost all VW Group vehicles equipped with the 1.4T, 1.8T & 2.0T FSI or TFSi engines, including the latest models fitted with the IHI turbo that have the electronically controlled bypass valves.
It was created following significant demand from both tuners and enthusiasts demanding a ‘belts and braces’ solution to the problems of the diaphragm failing on the original part. The Forge component is therefore recommended for any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade and for unmodified vehicles fitted with the earlier version of the OEM valve that operate in warmer climates- where the diaphragm seems to fail fairly early on in its life.
The Forge alternative is a typically over-engineered solution offering significantly improved reliability – as well as vastly improved aesthetics and function! The Forge valve and installation kit replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation. This product has been thoroughly designed and tested with the expressed intent of offering improved valve response and maintaining ECU control while resulting in absolutely NO fault codes, NO check engine lights, and no adverse effects of any kind. All of the necessary components and detailed instructions are included and everything is designed to make installation as simple as possible.
The kit is supplied with an additional uprated spring (coded Yellow) that may be required if the vehicle has had a significant boost increase. If this valve is to be installed to the 1.4 Turbo engine, it will be necessary to additionally purchase Forge’s boost sensor adaptor FMBGFK3 – and it will NOT fit the 2013 onwards CMBA and CXSB engines where the turbos are mounted at the rear of the engine bay.
Priced at £166.07 + VAT (£199.28 inc. VAT and $269.00 in the US ) this valve is perfect for either tuned cars, or those that don’t to sit and wait for the diaphragm to check out of its own accord! Black anodised and polished versions are available for either the perfect ‘OEM+’ look, or a bit of show glitz.
