Designed to enhance the best of the VW sport compact, the MTM performance package for the Golf 5 promises a more emotionally involving and technically delightful concept with a product range covering everything from engine, exhaust systems, transmission and suspensions settings through to performance brakes.

Also included in the MTM options for the VW Golf are head-turning 19 inch Bimoto sport alloy rims which underline the vehicles character and sporty look. The synergy between all of these factors adds up to a completely driver-focused agile compact racer, which delivers pure awe-inspiring performance, outstanding handling and tremendous aural delights.

Engine modifications
The spectrum of MTM modifications and performance kits range from optimized reprogramming of the control electronics through to the complete conversion of the engine unit. Every engine modification and performance kit has been developed by MTM and thoroughly tested for reliability in road and racing use. Engine durability is not sacrificed over the standard levels. The most aggressive stage can increase the engine power to 305hp and torque to 410Nm.

Exhaust systems
The MTM exhaust systems are developed and tested to achieve the maximum flow-rate and efficiency while at the same time keeping within exhaust emissions levels, a solution that fascinates with its manufacturing quality, design, function and sound. Exhaust systems from MTM represent innovative exhaust technology, handmade to perfection, handmade to perfection in high quality polished stainless steel to ensure durability.

Wheels
The MTM bimoto rims with their attractive 9-spoke race design and superior quality impress at first sight. Highlighted with a flawless finish, these light weight forged rims are produced to the highest OEM manufacturing standards ensuring high solidity and a technically precise rotation with a load capacity of up to 780 kg per axle, even in high performance and racing action.

Brakes
The MTM brake systems are technically designed to improve the overall braking process whilst retaining the braking comfort of the original brakes, and are the choice brake systems for high performance vehicles and executive saloons. All kits are TÜV approved for road use. The kit you should look for is a MTM-Brembo brake 380x34mm kit for the front that includes Brake disks dimpled, stainless steel breaklines, 8-Piston Brembo-Caliper, add-on-parts. For the rear, MTM Brake 310×22 mm that contains: Brake disks , Brake caliper holder, Adapter and add-on-parts.

Suspension kits
The MTM suspensions kits are built especially for sportive skilled driver are manufactured using quality materials to ensure durability and guaranteed quality. The suspension settings are adjusted and tested for each vehicle in accordance to the customer’s individual preferences. For vehicles with air suspensions we developed an electronic lowering technology. MTM sells a MTM-spring kit that lowers about 45 mm.
