Tarox Uprated Disc and Pad range for VW Corrado

With VW’s couth coupe now very much in the classic camp, there can be no doubt that even the most cherished of Corrados should have had several disc and pad changes by now! For those looking to upgrade their VW’s braking system beyond stock performance, Italian stopping maestro Tarox has announced its comprehensive line up of disc and pad upgrades to suit all models, covering both front and rear discs. These kits offer a direct replacement to the OEM parts for the 1.8 G60, 2.0 and VR6 versions – but with significantly greater performance and much less tendency to fade. With many owners now looking to buy really decent tuning parts for their Corrado as a future investment, these braking upgrades make great sense.

Each disc undergoes a structural stress-relieving heat treatment at the end of each machining cycle which increases durability and massively reduces the risk of warping under repeated heavy braking.

All discs are CNC machine-faced for the perfect braking surface, down to a tolerance of 0.015mm, not only resulting in the perfect performance, but also the perfect finish, to accentuate the overall look of the car.

Four styles are available. The OEM-esque ‘Zero’ with its factory good looks for the concours purist or collector, the diagonally vented ‘G88’, the JDM inspired ‘Sport Japan’ and the classic, spirally grooved ‘F2000’.

The perfect discs need the perfect pads, and here Tarox have ticked all of the boxes, too. Tarox’s ‘Strada’ pads offers the perfect compromise for cars that are driven daily with excellent cold performance, instant bite and great wear rates. For those VWs being enjoyed on track, or for fast road work, the Corsa pads are just the ticket, offering fade-free performance all day. If you’re actually one of the few stylish souls racing a Corrado, then the Competizione items might just shave off a few tenths here and there…

Prices start from just £186.00 for a 256mm front pair of any of the disc designs. Pads start from £62.40 for the rear Strada ‘street’ pads. All prices include VAT. Nothing increases driver confidence, or reduces lap times, like a set of decent brakes, so if you want to increase safety and enhance the value and enjoyment of your VW Corrado, then these brakes are the perfect upgrade.
